Are you a great listener? We seek a Youth Director to nourish the spirits of our young people as they grow to adulthood, connect with the community and shepherd new families. Desirable qualities are a strong faith; a bachelor’s degree; familiarity with the Episcopal Church; experience in working with youth; a cooperative attitude as a team player; and enthusiasm for youth formation and mission.
Keep children and youth at the center of the life of the church and integrate their ministry with the rest of the congregation. 3 Sundays/month for 2 hours (during and after main service at 10am).
Build a 2-hour dinner program for youth on Wednesday eves (middle school),
Build a 2-hour dinner program for youth on Sunday eves (high school)
Plan fall and spring overnight retreat, annual pancake supper, and other fun events and service opportunities including retreat and annual ski trip in Feb.Support high school Global Philanthropy Leadership program with our sister church in Bridgeport. 10-15 hours a week on average, depending on mutually agreed responsibilities, for 10 months/year. Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience.
